Connect your iPhone and Bluetooth keyboard

From Engadget -

There's finally a means by which to connect the iPhone or iPod touch to a Bluetooth keyboard. The catch is you need to jailbreak your unit first as the BTstack Keyboard app is now available for $5 only at the Cydia store.

Note while the app provides rapid responsiveness throughout, whether in Safari, composing text messages or blog posts, the command, cut, copy, paste, and highlighting functions are not yet active.

iPhone 2010 Will Have 5MP Camera

From Digitimes -

OmniVision Technologies is projecting CMOS image sensor (CIS) orders for the Apple iPhone to grow to 40-45 million units in 2010 from the estimated 20-21 million this year. It has also secured 5-megapixel CIS orders for the next-gen iPhone which will hit the retail shelves during the second half of 2010. The company currently supplies the 3.2-megapixel CIS for the iPhone 3GS, beating out Aptina Imaging which had supplied the 2-megapixel CIS solution for the iPhone 3G.

How to Change your Root Password

From http://mr09.fileave.com/ -

1. Get an SSH program like putty for windows.
2. SSH to your iPhone. (This may take a while.)
3. A warning about a key fingerprint may appear. You can just accept that.
4. Login using username "root" and password "alpine". (the default password)
5. Type "passwd".
6. You will be asked for a new password. Enter your new password.

The reason you have to change the default password is that by default this is "alpine". That means hackers can access your iPhone if you don't change this.
