Cell Phone Credit Cards: The Next Big Thing?

From I4U News -

According to the New York Times a company named Boku have turned phones into credit cards by allowing users to charge online purchases straight to their cell bill. Unfortunately, the carrier eats up 50% of the cost, while Boku takes another 5-10%. That's a whopping 60% of the price, leaving little profit for the merchant.

Another company, Obopay, have developed services that let people send money via text messages to other people. Whoever Steals Your iPhone Can Just Turn Off Find My iPhone Location Tracking

From Gizmodo -

Find My iPhone can track your iPhone, send harassing messages, etc. It works, but an iPhone thief can just turn off tracking right from the unit by going into Settings, then hit Mail, Contact, Calendars and click on the MobileMe account. Turn off Find My iPhone and all those tracking the unit will get is a little yellow warning symbol when they try to track it if the phone's been previously located.

Even if the thief is not smart enough to dig into the MobileMe account setting, all he has to do is turn off Location Services under General settings—that also cripples Find My iPhone.
